Clove oil has a warm, spicy aroma. It has been used in culinary dishes throughout history. Rare Earth Oils Clove Bud oil has been extracted using Co2 method and is a step above other Clove oils. Our Clove has a crisp, clean aroma with a touch of sweetness and less of the sharp, harsh aromas often associated with common Clove oils. Read more about CO2 extraction below.
The principal constituents in Clove Oil are phenols (70 – 80 per cent). Eugenol is the most antiseptic of the phenol family, and is known for its analgesic and antibacterial properties. This makes Clove oil excellent pain reliever for toothaches, sore gums and mouth ulcers.
Clove is a powerful antioxidant; it rates high above all other essential oils according to the ORAC scale (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity – a unit of measurement for antioxidant content). Mould can have severe negative effects on our health especially if there is mould exposure for lengths of time. Clove oil removes mould and kills the spores to stop regrowth.

What is CO2 extraction?
Supercritical CO2 (carbon dioxide) extraction captures the essence of the plant ensuring maximum purity.
CO2 is the same gas that plants thrive on and is also the gas we breathe out of our lungs. During extraction, pressure is applied to CO2 (carbon dioxide) turning the gas into liquid. This liquid CO2 can be used as a very safe liquid solvent and is ideal for essential oil extraction due to its low toxicity and ability to preserve the delicate volatile components of the oil often lost with other extraction methods.
At the end of extraction, the CO2 solvent can totally removed very easily, by releasing the pressure in the extraction chamber. This process, because it happens in a closed chamber, can collect the most fragile parts of the fragrance and plant. And so you are left with an extract as close as possible to the natural essence and fragrance of a plant.
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. Use diluted.
